Chef Derek brings nearly 20 years of culinary experience to The Mill with a prestigious background and love for farm-to-table cuisine. The Florida native moved to Atlanta when he was 11 years and grew up just around the corner in East Cobb. Food and hospitality deeply ingrained in him; Chef Derek took his passion to the Art Institute of Atlanta where he earned a degree in Culinary Arts. He has worked alongside some of the south’s best chefs and comes to the restaurant from Milton’sCuisine & Cocktails where he was widely recognized as a true culinary talent and applauded for his creative southern fare.
